Pediatric Emergency Department

The Carson Broome Pediatric Emergency Department at CHRISTUS Schumpert Sutton Children's Medical Center provides the best of both worlds for children who need urgent or emergent medical care in non-threatening environment. The new children's emergency department features a bright, cheery underwater theme, light strands that change colors and childlike artwork.

Located adjacent to the CHRISTUS Schumpert St. Mary Place waiting room, the Sutton Children's ED has a separate waiting room with play area, triage room and eight examination rooms. A new 16-slice CT scanner provides the latest in diagnostic technology, and diversion activities are in place to help children with difficult treatments.
